The first case of Covid 19 has been reported in Sweden since last November, according to the country’s leading infectious disease specialist.
Anders Tegnell claimed that there were isolated cases of people traveling to Wuhan.
In particular, as he told the Swedish news agency TT: “There has been no spread of the crown outside of Wuhan until it was located in Europe.”
He added: “I think I could find unique cases among Wuhan travelers who were there from last November to December 2019. This doesn’t sound strange but it is very normal.”
The words of the Swedish infectious disease specialist come just 24 hours after reports that a hospital in France examined old samples of the flu and found a positive result in the coronary artery on December 27, 2019.
The “zero patient” in France
The World Health Organization (WHO) announced today that a “report of a coronary heart attack in France in December” is not surprising. that is, before the period in which the virus is believed to have arrived in the country, adding that there may be more reports of previous cases.
“It is also possible that other cases from previous cases will be foundPDP spokesman Christian Lindmeier said during a UN briefing in Geneva.
He also encouraged other countries to verify their files with cases of the virus by the end of 2019, saying that this would give the world a “new and clearer picture” of the pandemic.
How the disclosure was made
The French hospital, Avicenne and Jean Verdier, reexamined old samples from patients with pneumonia. discovered that she had treated a man who had been ill with COVID-19 since December 27, that is, almost a month before the French government confirms the first cases.
“Of the 24, we had one that was positive in the colon on December 27.” Dr. Yves Cohen said on BFM TV.
France had officially announced the first three coronation cases on January 24. There were two patients in Paris and one in Bordeaux. Cohen said it was too early for experts to know if the Dec. 27 patient was France’s “patient zero”. But it is important to know what the first case was to understand how the virus spread.
“He was sick for 15 days and infected his two children, but not his wife, who works in a supermarket. He was surprised, he did not know how he became infected. He had not traveled. The only contact he had was with his wife.” Cohen said referring to the patient who survived.
The “sick zero” fishmonger
This man is called Amiros Loving and lives in Bobini, in its northeast suburbs Paris. Speaking to BFM TV, Amar said that when he fell ill last December with a dry cough, fatigue and fever, he thought he had the flu. Doctors at that time were unable to diagnose.
“I was surprised,” he said when he was informed many months after he had Covid-19. It has fully recovered And, he said, he had not traveled abroad before becoming ill and did not know how he could have been infected.
His wife works at a retail store near the Paris airport and is in regular contact with travelers from abroad.
