Young people attack policemen with fire extinguishers and stones during the control of the crown – BZ Berlin

A corona check in Gleisdreieck-Park was intensified again – there was a similar situation there only the night before!

Around 8 p.m., there were clashes between police officers, teenagers and young adults at Park am Gleisdreck, not far from the Gleisdreck subway station.

The officials wanted to enforce the regulation of infection control measures and were said to have been immediately attacked by a group. In the park, according to information from BZ, a fire extinguisher was emptied in the direction of the officials and stones were blown up.

The riot is said to have continued on Luckauer Strasse and at the Gleisdreieck metro station. In Luckauer Strasse, the stones are said to have flown in the direction of the officers, and at least one car was also damaged. An overturned Dixi toilet can also be seen in the photos.

The emergency services were able to temporarily remove the freedom of several young men and also some women. According to information from BZ, the youngest offender was only 14 years old. Only one hundred and several service dog handlers managed to restore peace and order.

At the Gleisdreieck train station, officers were also attacked by a group with a fire extinguisher. The officers suffered eye irritation, which was treated at the scene by paramedics.

The emergency services drew up various complaints, among other things, for serious breach of public order, bodily injury and material damage.

Attack on police officers only the night before

The day before, the police moved to the Gleisdreieck park because there were around 2,500 people at the end of the afternoon. The police used loudspeakers to indicate compliance with hygiene and distance rules, which only a few obeyed. Starting at 8 pm, officers from a task force addressed the groups in the park and spoke to them.

Many seemed to be walking away in the direction of the Gleisdreieck tube station. But there the situation worsened. A group of around 100 teenagers threw rocks and bottles at the officers. Later there was a riot in the vicinity.
