It went completely wrong: Oliver Alber, candidate for “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire”, answered the question of 125,000 euros and decided to emerge victorious from an answer. In the end, he went home with 500 euros. Günther Jauch was also unable to comfort him there.
He was already on the last show “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” and was quite skilled. Cantilever candidate Oliver Alber was used to the RTL studio, which Corona had emptied, and amounted to 64,000 euros. Then he was supposed to answer the 125,000 euro question and he stumbled. The question: “What celebrity gave birth to their first child just four days after their wedding?”
The answer options: Lady Di, Heidi Klum, Steffi Graf or Angelina Jolie. Alber was certain that he could exclude Steffi Graf. She would have married in 1999, he knew it. He chose Angelina Jolie and actually put his 64,000 euros in the arena. Because: I had miscalculated for two years. Steffi Graf would have been the correct answer: it was her wedding to Andre Agassi.
“I fucked up gloriously!”
Günther Jauch said: “He married in 2001 in a small circle in Las Vegas and four days after the wedding, his son Jaden Gil Agassi was born.” Then the moderator found comforting words, certifying that the candidate was “not dumb”. But he was visibly twisted after his accident at 500 euros.
“I fucked up gloriously!” Alber reported in an interview with RTL later. I had to digest this defeat now. To have played that way would have been because he had no more wild cards available. “I thought I could exclude 2 and 3” and so he risked betting. Well, that was counterproductive.
