Sebastian was on two foreign deployments for the Bundeswehr. From his accommodation in Iraq, he answered questions from t-online users before his return trip and complained about a lack of support.

For t-online’s “Ask Me” video format, a soldier from the German Bundeswehr answered the most exciting questions from t-online readers. In the video, he reports from the middle of his accommodation in the Iraqi desert.

Sebastian was stationed for more than three months for the Bundeswehr at Al Asad air base in Iraq and is now safe and sound in Germany. Since January 2015 he has been working as a medical sergeant in the Bundeswehr. The 32-year-old was in Iraq for the second time after 2018, this time as an emergency paramedic.
