A man was fatally injured in a serious accident involving three trucks Tuesday morning. Apparently the end of a traffic jam had been missed.
According to police, a 59-year-old truck driver apparently had a broken tire. The truck drifted out of the lane, crossed the center rail and stayed on the other side of the lane. The driver was not injured in the accident. However, the truck suffered damages of more than 30,000 euros and the loaded lime spread on the road.
34 years is trapped
The police blocked the road in the direction of Osnabrück; there was a traffic jam between Posthausen and Oyten in the Verden district. A 34-year-old trucker apparently overlooked this. He braked too late and pushed two trucks together in front of him. The 34-year-old man was trapped in his driver’s cab and died at the crash site.
