USA: Roger Stone advises Donald Trump to use martial law in case of electoral defeat

US President Donald Trump and Roger Stone have known each other for decades. As early as the late 1980s, Stone is said to have recommended to his old friend that he run for president of the United States. When Trump put this into practice in 2015, Stone became his aide. He had already gained enough experience on the political stage.

Stone is one of the most criticized and feared political advisers in Washington. From Richard Nixon’s Watergate affair to George W. Bush’s defeat, Stone was not far behind when it came to the great dramas of American politics. He calls himself the “dirty cheater” of American politics and specializes in compiling compromising material about his clients’ opponents.

Stone does not have an official position in the current election campaign. In February, he was sentenced to several years in prison for lying to investigators in the Russia affair on several occasions. Before going to prison in July, Stone asked in several media appearances that Trump pardon him; Outside of prison, he could campaign for the president’s re-election.

Trump imposed several years in prison on Stone

And, indeed, Trump has released his former prison partner. “Roger Stone is a victim of the made-up history of Russia, which the left and its allies have persecuted in the media for years to undermine the presidency of Donald Trump,” the White House said at the time.

Less than two months before the election, Stone has clearly positioned himself for Trump in a conversation with right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.

He wants to defend his position on November 3 against Democratic challenger Joe Biden. Stone is convinced that there can only be one result on election night – the only legitimate election result is a Trump victory, Stone said in an interview with conspiracy theorist Jones.

Stone also used the platform on the right to accuse Democrats of voter fraud and gave Trump various tips on how to secure his power.

To prevent suspected voter fraud in the US state of Nevada, federal agencies should, for example, confiscate ballots, Stone warned. Additionally, the FBI and Republican officials must “hinder” criminal activity and, if necessary, prevent the “physical action” of voting.

Zuckerberg and Clintons arrested

If Trump loses the November election, Stone said he should consider using martial law to maintain his power. Then the president could have Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, Apple boss Tim Cook, and the Clintons arrested. “Anyone else who can be shown to be involved in illegal activities” should be arrested.

Stone raises conspiracy theories about suspected Democratic election fraud with his allegations, for which he provides no evidence. That could find fertile ground with the Alex Jones audience. The host on the right is America’s leading conspiracy theorist, and millions of viewers click through to his show every month. Trump should be among them too. Over the past few weeks, he himself has repeatedly warned about voter fraud.
