As in many other countries, cases of corona in Ukraine have increased significantly for weeks. Now, President Volodymyr Selenskyj has been infected with the corona virus. “Despite all the quarantine measures, I also received a positive result,” the head of state said on social media.

The 42-year-old says he has a temperature rise of 37.5 degrees Celsius, but he feels fine. Will continue to work on self-isolation. “Most get over Covid-19, and I’ll get over it too. It’ll all work out!” Selenskyj wrote.

Before the head of state, the mayor of Kiev, Vitali Klitschko, former president Petro Poroshenko and former prime minister Julia Tymoshenko had already overcome the diseases of Covid-19.

In Ukraine, new record numbers of infections and deaths are recorded almost daily. More than 460,000 infections have been recorded in the Eastern European country since the start of the pandemic in spring. According to official statistics, there were 8,687 new infections on Monday alone. More than 8,500 people died from the virus.
