Britain is shutting down everyday life in view of the dramatic increase in the crown number. Prime Minister Boris Johnson also touched on Germany when introducing the new measures.

reBritish Prime Minister Boris Johnson has declared a new blockade on the country. “The virus is spreading even faster than our consultants predicted in the worst case scenario,” Johnson warned. Therefore, there is no other alternative.

“You have to stay home until December,” Johnson said. Bars, restaurants and leisure activities will close. Grocery stores and other important business opportunities remain open, as do schools. These are “the best place for children”.

The measures are necessary to save lives and prevent the NHS from being overloaded again. The head of government swore that the British would only leave their homes in urgent cases, such as work, sports, shopping or caring for relatives. Johnson emphasized that other countries, including Germany, had taken similar steps.

Johnson wanted to prevent further measures

In the UK, more than a million people have been shown to have contracted the corona virus since the pandemic began. The Health Ministry announced it on Saturday. Consequently, 21,915 new cases were counted in the last 24 hours.

Johnson has so far refused to take such far-reaching measures again after the first national shutdown in March. Instead, it relied on regional measures based on a three-stage alert system. However, experts have been warning for days that these measures are no longer enough to stop the rapid spread of the corona virus.
