On December 9, according to information from BILD, it declared bankruptcy for Ku’32 GmbH & Co. KG, which only operates the flagship store on Kurfürstendamm. Apparently all 35 salon employees have already been fired.

When asked by BILD, Thamm-Walz said: “I have tried everything to save all the Ku’damm employees, but unfortunately I cannot do that anymore.” However, this is not a layoff, wages are guaranteed until February.

THE REASONS: Crown Crisis and a Rent Increase! Thamm-Walz: “From January we should pay more. We had a gradual rent that is no longer feasible or understandable since the Corona crisis. “

Berlin lawyer Oliver Sietz was appointed preliminary insolvency administrator by the Charlottenburg District Court.

He told BILD: “We will see what prospects the store and its facilities have.” Discussions with the owner and other parties are currently underway.

The other stores in Potsdam, Berlin and Mallorca will remain.
