Numerous patrols were mobilized on Tuesday night for a large-scale operation due to a threatening situation in the Tegernsee community. A 40-year-old man assaulted and injured his life partner in the shared apartment. The reason for the dispute is not yet known.
Suspect attacks police officers with a knife
When the police arrived, the man took the woman hostage and continued to threaten her. To suppress the threat, emergency services entered the department. Later, according to the police, the assailant attacked the officers with a knife. In this situation, the suspect was shot, fatally wounding the victim.
Kripo Miesbach investigates the woman’s death
The couple’s life could no longer be saved, however, she died from the injuries previously inflicted. The Munich II prosecutor’s office and the Miesbach criminal police are investigating the murder committed against the woman.
LKA investigates the use of firearms
As is usual in such cases, the Bavarian State Criminal Police Office is investigating the use of firearms by the police. Authorities announced more information for Wednesday.
