Three policemen wounded in a left-wing demonstration arrested in Leipzig!
Leipzig – Am Leipziger On Friday night, several people had joined the Connewitz district for a demonstration against the arrest of three suspected left-wing extremists (TAG24 informed) found together. According to initial information, stones were thrown again and a policeman was injured.
Based on previous information, the demo is said to have taken both Wolgang-Heinze and Bornaische Strasse in Connewitz.
In addition, several people were arrested in Richard-Lehmann-Strasse at the corner of Kochstrasse.
The protesters tried to set up barricades on Bornaische Strasse. Furthermore, stones are said to have fallen on the police officers.
An officer was said to have been injured during the demonstration and had to be treated in an ambulance. Initially, no information was available on the type and severity of injuries.
Demonstration against the arrest of Lina E.
The reason for the demonstration was apparently the arrest of the student Lina E. (25).
According to the federal prosecutor’s office, he is suspected of being a member of a far-left criminal organization. He is said to have planned and organized various attacks and attacks against members of the “right-wing scene”.
During a raid Thursday, Lina E. was arrested along with two suspected accomplices.
Today, Friday, the 25-year-old was brought before the judge.

Police have released more information about the demonstration in Connewitz. Consequently, it should have been a spontaneous demonstration. “Due to the corresponding calls, we were prepared,” police spokesman Olaf Hoppe told TAG24.
The elevator assembled quickly. Rescue teams rushed to the scene of the incident and were said to have been thrown with stones and fireworks.
Three officers were injured, one of whom was no longer in a position to carry out his duty. “We can’t say anything about the degree of injuries at this point,” Hoppe said.
Emergency vehicles were also affected by the riots.
The demo is said to have quickly disbanded afterwards. “Our emergency services are still in place. In the meantime, however, everything is quiet again.”
