Suburb –

What was happening there? Actually, Rea Garvey is one of the coaches of “The Voice of Germany”, but on Sunday night (8:15 pm, Saturday 1), the singer suddenly appeared on stage.

It all started with the battle on Mark Forster’s team. Alexandra and Cathalin competed with each other for the song “Guten Tag” by Wir sind Helden.

A task that posed extreme problems for both of them at first. “The song didn’t mean anything to me,” Cathalin said when she heard about the selection. “How can you do that to me?” He asked his trainer at rehearsal when he was still having great trouble putting the text on the chain.

And Alexandra couldn’t imagine performing this song either. “That’s a challenge for a coach,” said Mark Forster.

But the two of them mastered it with great success on the show. “He really accepted the thing,” says Forster. But before deciding who would go on to the next round, Rea Garvey realized that he had already performed this song.

“Can you still do that?” Asked Annemarie Carpendale. Yes, it could, Garvey says. And no, you don’t want to sing it without practicing. But he couldn’t get out of the number. And so all of a sudden, he found himself on stage with a little help message on his cell phone (see video above).

At the end, Alexandra won the battle. You performed the song the best you could; you can’t sing it perfectly anyway, unless your name is Rea Garvey, says Forster with a wink. (so)
