Apparently the accident in which a 71-year-old man burned himself in a Skoda was caused by a completely different driver, according to the prosecution, probably by changing lanes! Previously, two men had been released from custody who were originally considered the main suspects.
One of the sports car drivers said to have participated in the race must have evaded at high speed (probably 200 km / h) and lost control in the process. The unaffected car had swerved to the left from the center lane to pass. After the evasive maneuver, the sports car driver likely collided with the center barrier and eventually another car. That was the result of the evaluation of a video.
The prosecution is now examining who is responsible for the fatal accident. The three men, who were previously suspects, are being investigated on suspicion of an illegal auto race. Third sprinter Ramsy Azakir (34) is still being registered.
The accident on the A66
A week ago, on Saturday afternoon, two Lamborghini and a Porsche GT raced on the A66. Navid F. (29), known by his Instagram pseudonym Navid Alpha, sat in the Lamborghini Aventador S.
According to initial findings, he lost control and was thrown from the central barrier onto the three-lane road. The Lamborghini collided with an Opel and a Skoda. Skoda and Lamborghini caught fire, Navid F. was saved, any help came too late for the 71-year-old in the Skoda.
The other Lamborghini and the Porsche fled the scene of the accident, the Porsche driver (26) surrendered to the police on Sunday and, like Navid F., was initially in custody. Both are now loose again.
