After ten years, Nick Wilder left the “ship of dreams” on Saturday. Sina Tkotsch was incorporated as his successor. But he won’t stay long as a ship’s medic. There is already a new one.

On Saturday night the “ship of dreams” set sail for Cape Town. Nick Wilder celebrated his farewell with the Boxing Day episode. After ten years as Doctor Sander, the 68-year-old landed.

Sina Tkotsch plays Julia Brand

Since a cruise ship with more than 100 guests cannot sail without a medic, the ZDF had already arranged a replacement. Sina Tkotsch takes on the role of the doctor in Steam of Love as Julia Brand. The broadcaster had already confirmed this in November, but left open how long the 30-year-old will remain on board.

Now it’s clear: after just two episodes, Sina Tkotsch is leaving the “ship of dreams” again. Tonight is the last episode with her as Julia Brand. The Berliner can no longer be seen in the episode that airs at Easter. As his manager explains when asked by t-online, that was never planned. “Sina Tkotsch was very happy to be in two movies in 2020 and had a lot of fun at work. There was never a date beyond that,” says Anette Sack.

“Manufacturers have brought in a new doctor”

But what is still on board the “ship of dreams”? ZDF continues to keep a low profile, while filming for the episode was already completed in April. Nick Wilder, however, knows what to expect from the audience. “The creators have brought in a new doctor for the Easter episode,” the actor tells t-online. It is not known which actress will take on the role and how long she will stay.

Nick Wilder himself played his role for ten years. The 68-year-old doesn’t think much about the fact that the ship’s medic is being replaced again after such a short time: “The viewer may perceive that as a ‘change’ and it may be desired, but if this frequent change of personnel it really fits the format in the end well, it will be seen in the future. “
