Appeal to the population
On Sunday, the district administrator Michael Fahmüller made an urgent appeal to the population: The scenario of a closure like in Berchtesgadener Land was also within reach in the Rottal-Inn district, according to the district administrator in a post on Facebook.
Due to the many positive cases and quarantine, the secondary school in Pfarrkirchen is now so badly affected by the current situation that it must remain closed until the autumn holidays in Bavaria (from October 31 to November 6). According to the district office, there are so many teachers in quarantine that classes cannot continue. Students are taught through homeschooling. Also, there were some positive cases in classes that were already in quarantine.
In addition, other classes are under quarantine: one class from Pfarrkirchen Technical School, two 9th classes from Eggenfelden High School, and two 5th classes from Pfarrkirchen High School.
