Bad ZDF! Sender closes “Helene Fischer Show” with Silbereisen
The Christmas show with Helene Fischer is a tradition at ZDF. This year everything was different. Due to the corona pandemic, the pop singer was unable to record the show on a large scale. Instead, Helene Fischer featured the best of her appearances from previous years, including with James Blunt, Matthias Schweighöfer, and Tom Jones.
On Instagram, Helene Fischer had hit the advertising drum shortly before the start of the broadcast on Christmas Day. “All the beautiful memories and experiences of the last nine years have come together,” her show announced. “I’ll settle on the couch with my family in baggy pants and with sodas.”
Finally, Helene Fischer had a secret tip for her fans: “The finale is my biggest highlight, so stay tuned until the end.”, wrote on Instagram and put a laughing emoji behind.
ZDF shows Helene Fischer mistakes and setbacks
What would Helene mean by that? After nearly three hours of showtime, the resolution followed Friday night at 11:15 pm
After the last song was sung, the ZDF showed discarded shots of nine years of “Helene Fischer Show” for minutes. In other words: scenes in which something went wrong. And 90 percent of that was due to Helene Fischer, who likes to make promises in her presentations, as the one player proved. Do you want a selection?
- “For my next song I invited men with temperament, passion and … blood. Trash.”
- “That’s why this end of the year show is also the year …”
- “Even this year, even two weeks ago … Shit, I can’t say that at all.”
- “Ireland is the country where the lush meadows are, where the happy cows are in these meadows …”
- “He started out as a musician and hit the streets …”
Helene’s résumé at the end of these not quite perfect attempts at restraint: “I thought I’d put on a show – Helene Fischer’s slip of the tongue.”
ZDF closes “Helene Fischer Show” with Florian Silbereisen
When the end credits passed and Helene’s show really ended, the next surprise came right away. An all too familiar voice rang out. “I just found out that we were doing some kind of experiment,” said none other than Florian Silbereisen. Her character is a pop singer, actor, and Helene’s ex-boyfriend.

It was a preview of ZDF’s “dream ship”. Florian Silbereisen celebrated his premiere in the cult series a year ago, and on December 26 he can be seen again as Captain Max Parger in the episode “Cape Town.”
ZDF did not want to miss the opportunity to draw the attention of the singer’s fans to Silbereisen’s new film. And so the announcer closed the “Helene Fischer Show” with her ex-boyfriend. It’s doubtful Helene meant that when she spoke of her personal “biggest highlight” at the end.
