What sounds difficult is quite ineffective. Palmer (confirmed as mayor in 2014 for eight years) contested his election campaign without visiting party leaders and with the financial or organizational support of federal headquarters. The Greens left it open yesterday if Palmer is no longer welcome at future party congresses.
The FDP in Baden-Württemberg, on the other hand, would welcome Palmer with open arms.
