What terrible drama took place in this Treptow apartment building? On Wednesday night, a dead child was discovered in a third-floor apartment of an apartment building on Köpenicker Landstrasse.

According to information from BZ, this is a three-year-old girl who, according to previously unconfirmed information, is said to have been found with massive cuts.
Neighbors had called the fire department and police to the apartment in the vicinity of Treptower Park around 5 pm after witnesses said they heard “terrible screams from the apartment.” Emergency forces later found the boy dead. Resuscitation attempts by paramedics were in vain. The alarmed ambulance could only determine death.
The boy’s grandmother is said to have been in the apartment. She had to be cared for by rescue workers and cared for by shepherds.

According to information from BZ, a man escaped from the crime scene and appeared shortly after at the Federal Police on Schöneweider Schnellerstrasse. The confused-looking man is said to be the father of the boy who was killed. A man was questioned by the homicide investigation squad, a police spokeswoman confirmed. It is unclear if the man is also a suspect.
Forensic technicians meticulously secured traces at the crime scene that night. The background and circumstances of the bloody act are still not entirely clear. According to witnesses, the father became frightened after a violent argument with the girl’s mother.
