AThe excitement came first on Twitter: what’s going on there, why can’t I see the “Tagesschau”, asked several users on Tuesday afternoon.
As the newspaper “Bild” reported a little later, the producing station NDR apparently had massive technical problems. The feature films could not be played, moderator Claus-Erich Boetzkes had to admit: “Not all contributions are available.”
An attempt was made to restart at 5:05 pm, while the newspaper continues, but to no avail.
Instead, the tabloid magazine “Brisant” took over the screen earlier than planned. Boetzkes had previously apologized and addressed the news show’s main topic at 8 p.m.
It is not clear what caused the technical problems; the station has not yet issued an official statement.
