AfD MP Karsten Hilse is said to have shown Berlin police officers a fake certificate at the demonstration against Corona’s measures last week. Now officials are investigating the 54-year-old man.

The Berlin police are investigating the AfD member of the Bundestag Karsten Hilse on suspicion of falsifying health certificates and resisting law enforcement officials. The 54-year-old is said to have presented a forged certificate at the demonstration against the crown measures in Berlin last Wednesday when officials noted that a mask is required, as confirmed by a police spokesman. First reported the newspaper “BZ”.

Hilse was provisionally arrested during the demonstration. A video clip circulating on the Internet showed handcuffs being placed on the ground when handcuffs were placed on the ground. There were different statements about the circumstances of the arrest.

Police said they spoke to a man in Unter den Linden who had violated the mask requirement. He was unwilling to cooperate, was expelled as a member of the Bundestag and then resisted. Hilse said he had been “brutally taken into police custody” because he was too slow to respond to police instructions.

Gauland protests in the Bundestag

The leader of the AfD parliamentary group, Alexander Gauland, also protested in the Bundestag. In some cases, the immunity of members of the Bundestag protects against new criminal prosecutions, but not “against initial police measures,” the police spokesman said. The prosecutor said they were not yet aware of the case.
