The city of Zweibrücken massively restricts private parties that take place in public spaces from Tuesday. Only a maximum of 20 people are allowed to participate. This regulation applies until October 27. Mayor Marold Wosnitza (SPD) also appealed to citizens that celebrations in private rooms should not include more than ten people from two households. He did not rule out the possibility of more restrictions if the number of cases remained so high.
High rates of infection through private parties
Zweibrücken has been at the red-crown warning level since Sunday because, according to the administration, a visitor from a risk area in Baden-Württemberg in particular contributed to the sharp increase in the number of cases. There are no measures in the Südwestpfalz district
At the weekend, the Südwestpfalz district was still at the orange crown warning level: there were more than 35 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the last seven days. Now, however, it is yellow again, a lower level. District Administrator Susanne Ganster (CDU) said there would be no stricter measures in the district at this time. However, he will speak with the mayors of the municipalities about the possibility of tightening the controls of the regulatory authorities.
From the red corona warning level, according to the Ministry of Health, there are more requirements for people in the affected region, for example, strict personal and contact restrictions.
The white crown warning level applies in the Kusel district, Donnersbergkreis, the city and the Kaiserslautern district remain yellow.
