To determine the cause of the accident, the police are also evaluating camera surveillance from the bus. A technical defect may have triggered the accident.

After the emergency services were busy cleaning until late at night, bus service at the Bergedorf train station started again at 4 a.m. A structural engineer also examined the building. He found that no structural parts were damaged in the crash.

▶ In Thursday afternoon’s accident, a VHH bus had crashed into the station building. The bus stalls with the front axle on the escalator from the ZOB to the trains. The debris spread everywhere.

Spokesman Jan Ole Unger: “For us this is not a daily job. And it could have been much, much worse! Fortunately, the escalator was closed and the bus was unoccupied. ”

The bus driver came to the clinic in shock. An apprentice who accompanied the bus driver on the training trip remained unharmed.
