Japanese electronics company Sony has announced the launch and pricing of the Playstation 5. The new console will be available in stores on November 12 in the United States, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea. As of November 19, it will be available in the “Rest of the world” and therefore also in Germany.
The new Playstation will cost 499.99 euros, and a unitless version will cost 399.99 euros. Pre-orders will be possible from select retailers starting Thursday.
Last week, Sony’s competitor Microsoft announced the launch date and price of the new Xbox. Starting on November 10, the console with the title Xbox Series X will also land in stores for about 500 euros. An S Series of the new Xbox, which should be less powerful, appears for 300 euros.
Players were waiting for announcements from the two console makers; Sony first published the design of the new controller in April.
With games like “Final Fantasy XVI” and a “Harry Potter” role-playing game called “Hogwarts Legacy”, new titles were also released for Playstation 5. By June, several games had already been released for the next console, including Spider-Man. : Miles Morales.
