Sony Offers PlayStation Owners Two Free Games

To limit the spread of COVID-19, we should all stay home as much as possible. So that the ceiling does not fall on our heads on our four walls, Sony wants to facilitate social distancing, with two completely free games for PlayStation 4.

Stay home and play

In a blog post, Sony announced the “Play at Home” initiative to take responsibility in these tough times and thank those who stay home. For PS4 owners in Germany and China, this means they can download both Knack 2 and Journey games for free from April 16 to May 6.

Crack 2

The successor to the PS4 launch title Knack brings the protagonist of the same name back to the screen to aid in the fight against the goblins. Knack can change its shape and capabilities with the collected materials. The jump-and-run adventure has an offline multiplayer and family cooperative mode.

Note: In other countries, including Austria and Switzerland, instead of Knack 2, all three games from Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection are available for download.

Travel

This artistically designed and completely word-free game has received top marks in tests. The mysterious setting with the figure in scarf and dress and the desert landscape with the remains of an ancient civilization is a wonderful change from the rest of the uniform.

It should be noted that game downloads may currently take a little longer than usual. This is because speed has been reduced in Europe and the United States to maintain Internet access for all.

Sony supports independent developers

Another equally important part of the “Play at Home” initiative is the establishment of a fund for smaller, independent developer studios that are extremely financially affected by the crown pandemic. A total of $ 10 million will be made available to assist developers.
