Joel and Ellie fans can hardly wait: In 2013, Sony released “The Last of Us” on Playstation 3, a survival horror game that delighted the press and gamers around the world. In 2014 the remastered version was released for PS4. The release of Part 2 as one of the last great games of the PS4 era was actually announced for this spring. But then Corona came along and Sony postponed the game indefinitely. Disappointment spread in many forums; after all, the PS5 is expected to be ready by the end of the year.
“The Last of Us Part 2”: fans can expect atmospheric titles
But now is the time to breathe a sigh of relief: As Sony confirmed on the Playstation blog, “The Last of Us Part 2” is already in the starting blocks. The game will be available on June 19. Fans may already have an idea of the title in the first trailers. The player assumes the role of Ellie, who is now 19 years old and is in a revenge campaign in the United States, which is marked by a pandemic. The adoptive father Joel from part 1 also happens in the game. In which role, however, it is not yet clear. Fans can look forward to an atmospheric title, at least the trailers are close at hand. Part 1 already impressed on PS3 with a dense atmosphere, well-drawn characters and an emotional story.

“Ghost of Tsushima”: the game takes full advantage of the PS4 hardware
Sony also confirmed the release date of another exclusive game: “Ghost of Tsushima” will be released for Playstation 4 on July 17. The open-world game throws players into Japan in 1274. The main character is Sumarai Jin Sakai, who is fighting the invaders from Mongolia on the island of Tsushima. Visually, the title on the PS4 Pro wins a lot and should squeeze out the last power reserves from now-old hardware.
Both games are intended for adults and can only be sold to customers 18 years of age or older.
