Greens accuse state government of arrogance
The leader of the green parliamentary group Ludwig Hartmann said in the subsequent debate that his group supported the drastic measures. In view of the high corona numbers, it is now important to break the wave of infections. At the same time, he accused Prime Minister Söder’s state government, who he believed they had done everything right, of arrogance. This has to end, but so far there has been no desire to learn. There are problems in Bavaria that must be solved urgently. Rapid tests and better monitoring of infections by better established health authorities are needed. Also, it was a mistake that after the regional closure in the Berchtesgadener Land district, vacationers had to leave without corona tests.
In addition, the Green politician warned that the measures must also be understandable. It’s like in mathematics: “We understand the result better if we know the method of calculation.”
CSU Parliamentary Group Leader Accountants
The leader of the CSU parliamentary group, Thomas Kreuzer, again used his speech to criticize Hartmann’s attack. If the strict measures are really so “incomprehensible” and “incomprehensible”, why should the Greens in the Schleswig-Holstein state government or even Green Prime Minister Winfrid Kretschmann vote for the latest resolutions? In view of Hartmann’s statement, Kreuzer emphasized that you cannot “speak to everyone by mouth” to please everyone, those “in favor and those against.”
Because tracking corona infections is extremely difficult, the CSU parliamentary group leader advocated for the use of more technology and an exemption from data protection to make the Corona app ultimately more effective. Kreuzer appealed to citizens to follow the rules in November. Measurements are unavoidable.
AfD sees itself as the only opposition from the crown
The leader of the AfD parliamentary group, Ingo Hahn, accused Söder of confronting parliament with a fait accompli and of taking the entire country as a “hostage” in the fight against the Crown crisis. Today’s debate on the resolutions of the federal and state governments, as well as the Bavarian cabinet, is not a codetermination, but “a farce”. According to Hahn, the AfD is the “only Crown opposition” in state parliament, but “out with the people” is already brewing. Corona is not a justification for what the Bavarian state government is doing. The consequences for the economy are dramatic.
Free voters attack the AfD
Like Söder before, the president of the Free Voter Group, Florian Streibl, complained that some of them unfortunately did not understand the seriousness of the situation. He accused the AfD of being “the one that wanted to sink our country into ruin.” It even made the AfD “jointly and severally responsible” for the growing number of infections and therefore for the measures that have now been decided due to its strict rejection of the mask requirement and reduction of contact for months. Hahn should be ashamed to use the word democracy and freedom. The deputies of the AfD are the gravediggers of the democratic ideals that the rest of the state parliament defends.
Streibl praised the federal state’s decision to introduce uniform measures across the country. The alliance of the 16 prime ministers is a great and beautiful sign. Now there is a uniform line that was missing in Germany until now. The population asked Streibl to take the situation seriously and reduce contacts. Only that can help in the current situation.
SPD: Yes, yes, but no nod
The leader of the SPD parliamentary group, Horst Arnold, also supported the latest anti-crown measures as a “sign of unity” between the federal and state governments. This ends the “patchwork quilt” of special regulations, which has been specially commissioned by “Ichling” Söder. However, the approval of the SPD means “no head”: all measures in Bavaria will continue to be critically monitored, Arnold emphasized. After 14 days, for example, the state parliament must verify the effectiveness of the closure measures.
The SPD parliamentary group’s health policy spokesperson, Ruth Waldmann, went a bit further. He complained that the state government had learned nothing since the outbreak of the pandemic about six months ago. Timely increases in personnel in intensive care units and health departments could have prevented a new closure of public life.
FDP: threats are disappearing
For the leader of the FDP parliamentary group, Martin Hagen, the state parliament should have discussed the incisive measures of the crown much earlier. He accused the Söder government of lacking a strategy to deal with the pandemic. This “blocking light” is just “an act of desperation”. The FDP wants to support the measures to a large extent, but rejects the closure of gastronomy with its developed hygiene concepts. And: Instead of constantly issuing new regulations, the state government should “appeal rather to the sense of responsibility of the citizens”, because the most effective weapon against Corona is the consent of the population. The threats disappeared.
The FDP also called for concrete solutions in local public transport. If keeping distance is the central means for the state government in the fight against the corona virus, then it must finally think of a concept for overcrowded S-Bahn trains, said FDP deputy Matthias Fischbach.
