The man on the ground is a murderer. He slit his young wife’s throat in the passenger seat of his VW Golf! Before the eyes of his three little daughters. The crime that took place on the doorstep of the house where the family lived reflects the tragedy of a family of Syrian refugees.
The murderer, who has been detained since Thursday on suspicion of murder, is Wahid A. (29). The victim, Nuha (20), was his wife.
Wahid A. came to Germany from Idlib in May 2015. He married a 14-year-old girl in Syria when he was 23. He is now detained on suspicion of murder.
The two hail from Idlib, a rebel stronghold in northern Syria, and were married in late 2014. Nuha was not yet 15 years old and soon after was pregnant.
In May 2015, Wahid A. left his wife in Idlib and went to Germany as a refugee. Nuha gave birth to twins and was allowed to move to Germany with the babies in October 2015 as part of family reunification.
In 2017, Nuha gave birth to another girl at the age of 17.

Djamal H. (name changed), a relative of the perpetrator who lives nearby, tells Bild am Sonntag the background. The marriage broke up a few weeks ago. Djamal: “Wahid was convinced that his wife was having an affair with his cousin. Then she brought her children to me so they wouldn’t have to witness the argument. “
Then the relatives of the young wife, who live in Belgium, arrived in Paderborn. They tried to mediate, to convince Wahid A. that there was no romance.
“On Tuesday, Wahid and his wife picked up the children for me. He told me that he had forgiven her, ”Djamal H. tells Bild am Sonntag. Then they went down.
It is not a happy ending. It is pure horror!
Djamal H .: “A few minutes later, Wahid rang my doorbell. He stood in front of me with the children and smeared himself with blood. He said: ‘She lied and betrayed me. I killed her and washed the shame off my honor. “
Wahid A., who last worked as a supplier, called the police himself after the murder and took them to the body in the car.
According to the autopsy report, Nuha bled to death. The perpetrator cut his neck and stabbed his upper body and head several times.
Wahid A. is silent now.
