Siegfried & Roy’s magician Roy Horn is dead. He died Friday in a Las Vegas hospital of Covid-19 complications, spokesman Dave Kirvin said. Horn was 75 years old.

Horn had discovered his love of exotic animals as a boy in postwar Germany, including a cheetah named “Boy” at the Bremen Zoo. Horn was hired as a butler on a cruise ship where he met Fischbacher. The two arrived in Las Vegas in 1967, some two decades later, the “Masters of Illusion” negotiated a million dollar deal with the “Mirage” hotel in the casino city.
