Olching: online lessons for 103 students
In Olching, also in Upper Bavaria, the students were sent home immediately after starting school: a student from Olching primary school was infected with the corona virus. 103 eleventh grade students are excluded from classes with immediate effect. Even before her test result was available, the student went to high school on the first day of school. In the afternoon, the family learned that the student had tested positive for Corona.
According to the district office, the schoolgirl was at the introductory event in a gym with 102 high school students. All of them cannot have face-to-face classes for two weeks. The student’s closest contacts, two friends and her family, must now be quarantined for 14 days. The complete closure of the school is not necessary in the opinion of the health department.
Lappersdorf: two classes in quarantine
And also in Lappersdorf in the Regensburg district, two high school classes are quarantined one day after the start of school. The Regensburg District Office announced this to the BR on Wednesday. Since a fifth grader tested positive for Corona, the entire class has to go into a 14-day quarantine. At the same time, there is a suspicious case of Corona in the tenth grade. The class is in quarantine until the test is evaluated, probably Thursday. According to the district office, no teachers are affected by the quarantine measures.
Güntersleben: school class and two isolated teachers
As announced by the local health department, a student at Ignatius Gropp primary school in Güntersleben in the Lower Franconian district of Würzburg tested positive for the corona virus. The health department put the boy in isolation. The elementary school will not be closed. According to the health department, the boy was infected in the family circle. Quarantine was ordered for the boy’s family, classmates and two teachers. Corona tests will take place in the school setting on Thursday.
More cases of corona in schools in Lower Bavaria
In Bischofsmais, 23 children in a class and a total of four teachers are affected by the quarantine. Also, there was a class in Lower Bavaria and her teacher in Pfarrkirchen in the Rottal-Inn district. There, the third grade student tested positive. As the Rottal-Inn district office announced, the entire class, including the teacher, had been quarantined there. A Freyung student in the Bavarian Forest was also infected with Covid-19. According to the district office, there are no quarantine measures at the school.
