The Regensburg Administrative Court has rejected an urgent request against the requirements for a planned demonstration by opponents of the anti-crown mask in the city. The request was inadmissible, the court announced Friday night.

The demonstration of the “lateral thinking” initiative planned for Saturday at Regensburg’s Dultplatz will have the slogan “Demonstration for self-determination and the liberation of the mask.”

The plaintiffs had not filed a lawsuit first, without which an urgent request would not be admissible, the judges said. A complaint can be filed with the Bavarian Administrative Court against the decision.

A demonstration with up to 1000 people has been announced in Regensburg. Organizers initially registered 2,000 participants, but authorities limited the number to 1,000. Participants must wear a mask during the protest and maintain a minimum distance of one and a half meters. According to the BR, the city administration had recently considered a total ban on the event.

More demos on the weekend

Last Saturday, a “lateral thinking” rally of more than 20,000 opponents of the Crown measures in Leipzig got out of hand: there were riots. Later, criticism of the overly hesitant use of the police and the responsible Higher Administrative Court (OVG) in Bautzen was strong, which made the demonstration in the city center of Leipzig possible.

Also this weekend there should be protests from the “lateral thinking” movement against the Crown measures in various places in Germany. In addition to Regensburg, Frankfurt is also preparing for a “lateral thinker” demonstration. According to the public order office, 500 participants are registered for a demonstration and 2,000 people for a final rally. Events are also planned in Karlsruhe, Berlin and other smaller cities.
