The pandemic situation in France is spiraling out of control.
In view of the new record numbers of new corona infections, the French government is apparently planning a new lockdown for three major metropolitan areas, namely for the metropolitan area of Paris, Lyon and Marseille. The first plans for this were drawn up in a meeting on Monday.
According to information from BILD, a three-week shutdown could begin in these metropolises as of Friday night; details will be announced on Wednesday. It will be decided in the next two days if this drastic scenario will finally be chosen.
In this case, the following rules would come into force:
► A general curfew must be applied from 7 pm
► An appropriate permit is required to use public transportation. Even a general curfew should be applied during the weekend.
