As part of its “Play At Home” initiative, Sony is giving away Journey and Knack 2 games for PlayStation 4. Given the global pandemic of COVID-19, they should motivate players to stay home and curb the spread of the coronavirus.
From April 16 to May 6, Sony is giving away both games, no PS Plus or similar subscription required. The independent hit Journey is now also available for PC via the Epic Games Store.
Sony supports small developer studios with funds
With the initiative, the company also wants to support small developer studios that have been in serious financial difficulties due to the current global crisis. Sony is providing a $ 10 million fund for this. In the near future, participation criteria and more information about the fund will be announced.
