However, in Berchtesgadener Land, a new general decree with severe restrictions on public life is now in effect for two weeks. The police must monitor compliance with exit restrictions. Those affected should make the “valid reasons” credible to officials, says the general decree.
Restaurants, leisure and cultural facilities are limited
All events, with the exception of the religious services mentioned, are prohibited. Retail and service businesses can remain open. Leisure, sports and cultural facilities, on the other hand, must remain closed for two weeks. Bus trips and markets (except for weekly markets) are prohibited.
Restaurants are said to be closed, as are beer gardens. Takeout meals can be served until 8 pm. Hotels can only accept business travelers. The approximately 2,500 guests currently on vacation in the region have to leave.
Mandatory mask in crowded places.
A mask is required at train stations and bus stops. Additionally, mouth and nose protection should be worn in Bad Reichenhall, Freilassing, Berchtesgaden and Schönau am Königssee between 6 am and 11 pm in certain public spaces and busy streets.
