Hamburg – Terrifying find on the banks of the Elbe!
After a walker found parts of a human skeleton at Stover Elbstrand in the Harburg district on Wednesday night, police searched for more clues with the help of DLRG deputies Thursday afternoon.
►According to initial information, the walker found a human jaw and bone on the bank of the Elbe near the Stover Strand road. Because a first search had to be canceled at night due to the onset of the flood, emergency services began searching for more parts of the skeleton around 12 noon Thursday at low tide. No further finds were made.
Remains of Sylvia Schulze (43) and her daughter Miriam (12)?
It was found in the municipality of Drage, where mother Sylvia Schulze (43) and her twelve-year-old daughter Miriam disappeared in July 2015. Witnesses want to have seen father Marco Schulze († 41) on July 23, 2015 in the Elbe river near Stove.
He took his life a day later. A little later, his body is taken out of the Elbe. At that time, no signs of violence were found on the body. The cause of death was drowning.
In the following period, the police investigated in the direction of a “prolonged suicide”. This is what lawyers and psychologists call an act of desperation in which someone takes their own life and, so to speak, “takes their relatives to their death” or kills them beforehand.
It is currently unclear if the skeletal parts found belong to one of the two missing persons.
Chief Inspector Uwe Dodei (59) to BILD: “The investigation must also reveal whether there is a connection to past crimes.”
