The verdict against the serial killer Niels Högel is final. According to its own information, the Federal Court of Justice (BGH) in Karlsruhe did not recognize any legal errors in the lower court’s decision.

From 2000 to 2005, Högel injected patients with various drugs to death at the Oldenburg and Delmenhorst clinics. Based on the judges’ findings, she wanted to induce life-threatening conditions and then secure recognition from her colleagues through resuscitation. She also enjoyed the tension.

Judges at the Oldenburg regional court had convicted Högel last June of 85 murders. Also, you will never be allowed to work in nursing, elderly care or rescue services again. The 43-year-old sits in the Oldenburg correctional facility.

The legal processing of the case has not yet been completed. The Oldenburg prosecution has indicted five of Högel’s superiors. She accuses them of murder by omission.
