Netherlands: the subway only stops at works of art

A Dutch subway has surpassed the mark: the train only stopped on Monday at a work of art about thirty feet high, the coincidence of a giant whale.

The metro conductor led the train to a siding as planned after the last scheduled trip in Spijkenisse, near Rotterdam, on Monday evening, he said. However, for a previously inexplicable cause, the train did not stop at the stop blocks, but only at the artwork immediately behind.

The train conductor had his way with horror, the transportation company announced. He was reportedly able to get out of the car without assistance. According to the police, there were no passengers on board at the time of the accident. The damage to the vehicle is great. Rescue teams tried to recover the car.

Neighbors were surprised shortly after midnight by the noise after a violent impact. “Suddenly I saw that the queue was busy,” a man told the NOS television station.

The artwork consists of two giant whale tail fins protruding about ten meters from the water directly at the De Akkers metro station. The liner is approximately the same height. The artwork likely prevented the car from falling over and prevented worse things, experts said.
