Hague In the Netherlands, almost 6,000 new infections were reported in one day. This makes the country one of the three most severely affected countries in Europe. Prime Minister Rutte announced new measures if the situation does not improve.
In the Netherlands, almost 6,000 new corona virus infections were reported in one day. The RIVM Institute of Health and Environment announced on Friday that there have been around 34,000 new cases in the last seven days. There were 14 new deaths. The number of patients in hospitals and intensive care units is increasing.
Prime Minister Mark Rutte expressed great concern. “We are among the three most affected countries in Europe, and it is worse than the United States,” Rutte said. He did not rule out drastic measures if the situation did not improve in the next 72 hours. He did not mention any specific plans.
Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht and Amsterdam are reportedly particularly affected by the spread of the virus. Since the crisis began in March, around 6,500 people across the country have died from Covid-19.
