The crane operator fell to the ceiling. There he was treated by an ambulance that rappelled down from a helicopter and was taken to a clinic, seriously injured. Other construction workers or bystanders were not injured according to the findings. “Anyway, the road was cordoned off because there are two truck-mounted cranes.” Apparently they were needed to transport the sick person from the roof of the high-rise building. Police reported that there may be problems with the barrier counterweights during dismantling. However, precise information on the cause is not yet available. Structural engineers are currently evaluating the crash site.

The accident occurred in the east of the state capital near the Arabellapark. Fire and rescue services were on the scene with large numbers. A crisis intervention team cared for several people who witnessed the accident.
