According to the Dresden prosecutor’s office, the search has been expanded to include two young people over 21 years of age from the clan’s environment. They are also charged with theft and arson.

Members of the Remmo family?

In one of the most spectacular robberies of decades, strangers stole art treasures of barely measurable value from the famous Green Vault treasure chamber in Dresden in November 2019. Within minutes they stole high-value historical jewels from a cabinet of exhibition. They then fled in a car which they later set on fire.

According to the police, the detainees come from around the clan. According to matching media reports, they are members of the Arab-German Remmo family (also known as Rammo). Two family members have already been convicted of stealing a 100 kilogram gold coin from the Bode Museum in Berlin, and the verdict is already final for one.

Many members of large criminal families are at home in Berlin-Neukölln. The police had already searched several sites in September; this could have been about the getaway car. Previously, the “Epaulette” special commission found evidence in a Neukölln internet café and in an apartment. Due to the large-scale raid, significant traffic restrictions can be expected in the urban area of ​​Berlin throughout the day.
