The Hundertwasser comprehensive school in Rostock-Lichtenhagen is temporarily closed.
The Hundertwasser Comprehensive School in Rostock-Lichtenhagen has been temporarily closed due to two more coronavirus infections. Lessons will be initially canceled for a total of about 780 students and about 70 teachers starting Thursday, as the city spokesperson announced Wednesday. Two other teachers tested positive for Sars-CoV-2 on Wednesday. Previously, three teachers and 90 children from different classes had to be quarantined after a first teacher became infected.
Bockhahn: “It takes constant action”
“Unfortunately, these results require constant action to prevent the virus from spreading,” said Social Senator Steffen Bockhahn. “This is a preventative measure that consistently implements the currently applicable state ordinance.”
The health department will call affected families Thursday, provide more information and provide advice. “Please adhere to the rules of hygiene and distance within families as much as possible to minimize the risk of contagion”, thus the appeal of the health department to parents and students.
