At the Berliner Ring
On Autobahn 10, a man crashed his car into a bridge pier and died at the scene of the accident.
The accident happened on Monday night in a construction area between Birkenwerder (Oberhavel district) and the Oranienburg crossing, a police spokesman said. The A10 had to be completely closed at times.
According to information from BZ, the Mercedes detached itself from a railing and crashed head-on into the pillar.
The man’s identity was not initially established. Police were also unable to provide information on the cause of the accident early Monday morning.
The highway was closed until 1 am on Monday morning.
