The herbal bath is a proven remedy for mild cold symptoms. But what if you don’t have a bathtub? Jacqueline Torres Martinez also wondered about this and developed an aromatic shower foam with essential oils. Of the Stern tested the product.

Do you know that too? Grip scratches, runny nose, head hurts – reason enough for many people to take a relaxing herbal bath and pamper their ailing body with essential oils. It’s stupid if you only have one shower in your bathroom and you have to do without this luxury. But is that really the case? Jacqueline Torres Martínez at least claims otherwise: the 38-year-old pharmaceutical representative developed MediDusch, an aromatic shower foam with essential oils, which not only replaces the classic herbal bath, but can also be used as an alternative to shower gel.

According to the founder, the shower is preferred anyway: “As a pharmacist representative in the pharmacy field service, I noticed that fewer and fewer people use the bathtub or do not have one at home, so I wanted to allow the pleasant feeling of a bathtub! Herbal bath in the shower too! ” An important find to overcome the classic herbal bath concept. This is how MediDusch “Cold Time” was created (the product is now called MeDusch), a nourishing shower foam made from eucalyptus and menthol, as well as avocado and almond oil, which is even free of silicone, perfume and microplastics.

In general, MediDusch comprises two different products:

  1. Cold season“: An aromatic shower foam with eucalyptus and menthol for cold days
  2. Regeneration time“: An after-sports foam with rosemary and arnica for care

Conclusion: this is how MediDusch scores in the test

In self-experiment one has Stern-Employee tried MediDusch “cold weather”. To do this, you had to use the product as an ordinary shower foam. His conclusion was always positive: MediDusch was able to convince along the line, from the creamy consistency to the rich care and beneficial scents. However, the evaluator liked the most were the essential oils: as soon as the foam is applied to the skin, the oils unfold their full scent and provide a pleasant herbal bath sensation. But what is even more important: after taking a shower, the aromas evaporated quickly, so the skin did not smell especially of eucalyptus and menthol afterwards. Not a negligible factor if you don’t necessarily want to smell essential oils all over your body after use.

You can see if founder Jacqueline Torres Martinez was also able to convince the lions of her shower foam tonight at 8:15 pm Vox. The founder expects an investment of 75,000 euros and, in return, would be willing to give up 20 percent of the shares of her company.
