Pelosi and Pence get vaccinated
Many of the leading American politicians are publicly vaccinated against the coronavirus. Vice President Pence and Democratic Leader Pelosi want to build public confidence. While newly elected President Biden will follow suit Monday, Trump’s vaccination plans remain unclear.
Current US Vice President Mike Pence and leading figures in the US Congress have been vaccinated against the corona virus. The Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Democrat Nancy Pelosi, and the Republican Majority Leader in the Senate, Mitch McConnell, also received a vaccine. The future president of the United States, Joe Biden, does not want to do the same until next week.

McConnell, on the other hand, as head of the Republicans in the United States Senate, is the leading figure in the powerful House of Parliament.

Next Monday, Biden also wants to be vaccinated against the corona virus, as announced by a spokeswoman for his team. Together with his wife Jill, he will receive the first dose of the vaccine in his home state of Delaware. So far it is unclear whether current President Donald Trump is also planning a public vaccination. White House spokeswoman Kaleigh McEnany said Tuesday that Trump was “completely open” to getting vaccinated and wanted to encourage all Americans to do so. However, there are no concrete vaccination plans for Trump. Trump fell ill with Covid-19 in early October and therefore had to be treated in hospital. The director of the National Institute of Infectious Diseases, Anthony Fauci, had advised that both Biden and Harris and Trump and Pence get vaccinated as soon as possible.
