The Federal Association of Medium Enterprises (BVMW) mourns its president: Mario Ohoven (74) died on Saturday in a traffic accident, as the BVMW announced this Sunday.

He was the face and voice of the BVMW, his word had a great weight in politics, the economy and society. The BVMW also recognized Ohovens “numerous important awards at home and abroad.” With his charismatic personality, he has inspired people far beyond BVMW for entrepreneurship. Additionally, BVMW’s mission is to continue to develop and fulfill its legacy, goals, and ideas for midsize businesses.

Ohoven was born in Neuss (North Rhine-Westphalia) in 1946. The enterprising family he comes from has been producing paper since 1810 and running a hemp spinning mill. Ohoven himself was a trained banker and has worked as an investment advisor since the 1970s.
As a financial expert, he repeatedly gave interviews, was invited to speak at events and symposia, and was a regular guest on television shows. Ohoven is the author of the book “The Magic of Powerful Sales,” which was on the bestseller lists for a long time. In it he presents a so-called “successful strategy for a perfect sale”.
In 1998, Ohoven became president of Mittelstandsverband, a position he held until his death.
