For the first time this Bundesliga season, Mönchengladbach lost a home game. Marcus Thuram has a great turnout. One player calls his disgusting action “broken neck.” The striker now faces a long suspension.
secondorussia Mönchengladbach suffered their first home loss of the season. With 1: 2 (1: 0) against Hoffenheim, the knockout stages of the Champions League threaten to lose contact with the top positions.
In the final phase, however, the sport took a backseat after Gladbach’s Marcus Thuram spit on his opponent Stefan Posch in the face from a short distance (77 °). It could have been the frustration after Hoffenheim tied two minutes earlier through Andrej Kramaric.
The disgusting action was not excusable. Referee Frank Willenborg showed the Frenchman the red card after studying the television images. The striker faces a longer suspension.

Thuram’s teammate, Valentino Lazaro, described the failure as a “broken neck.” “What a shame for the team, what a shame for him. It doesn’t really suit him in character, ”Lazaro said. Borussia coach Rose quickly apologized “on behalf of the whole club” and said: “He just doesn’t belong on the football field. That goes far beyond borders. ”
For a long time it seemed like the third home victory for the Gladbach team.
