Bundesliga club management Hertha BSC has accused former coach Jürgen Klinsmann of selfishness. Klinsmann’s message was true: the club wanted to move on. “The only problem is that it wasn’t really Hertha BSC, but himself,” said Paul Keuter, member of the executive board, “Berliner Morgenpost” (Monday).

Much has changed positively at Hertha in the past two years, but “a cultural change is never complete, we have to question ourselves over and over again,” Keuter said. Klinsmann did not help the club. “Klinsmann has as much knowledge of culture change as a rooster to lay eggs.” He did not want to get into the “ego madness” of the former coach, who had been with Berliners for less than three months until February. “I just have to wish him a speedy recovery,” Keuter said.
