Skyscraper in Wandsbek: The woman died from her serious injuries. The son was arrested.
One day before the 4th Advent, a fatal family quarrel apparently broke out in Hamburg-Wandsbek. A man is said to have stabbed his own mother to death. A spokesman for the situation center confirmed the incident in the evening. A homicide squad is investigating. At first, the police could not say anything about the age of the mother and son.
The man alerted the police himself
Blue light flickered on the high-rise facade on Ahrensburger Strasse on Saturday night. There, the man apparently had alerted police himself around 6.30pm and said he had injured his mother with knife wounds in an argument.
The woman died in the apartment.
Police officers, and later an ambulance, unsuccessfully tried to resuscitate the woman. But he died from his serious injuries in the apartment.
Police arrested the man
It is not yet clear what the dispute was about. It is also not known whether the son lived with his mother in the apartment or was simply visiting shortly before Christmas. He let the police arrest him without resistance. The crime scene was extensively cordoned off. Then the homicide officers began their investigations.
