Maite Kelly was allowed to appear twice Sunday at the “ZDF TV Garden.” First, the singer performed her hit “Love wins anyway”, two hours later, the mother of three was able to go back on stage.

When Andrea Kiewel announced her next act, the 40-year-old was not ready. “You still need some,” said the presenter of the “Fernsehgarten”. Kiwi and her co-moderator Elton had to cut the time short by a minute and a half. There was a little chaos in front of the camera. Maite Kelly has now explained to her fans on Instagram how it came about.

“For love and loyalty”

“Andrea ‘Kiwi’ Kiewel and the whole team solved with the numerous measures and hygiene requirements a crazy task to give people a little color at home”, writes Maite. The “Fernsehgarten” is the first television show in which he appeared in public after the closing – “for love and loyalty”.

Then Maite Kelly talks about the incident on Sunday. For the delay, and therefore also for the chaos, she was not responsible at all. “Of course I was behind the beautiful aquatic stage early and eventually I got the mic sanitized, the lovely supervisor sent me on stage … and while the cameramen were still positioning Kiwi was already moderating me.”

“We are all professionals”

It was a misunderstanding, but Kiwi “improvised and moderated very well.” “The cameramen ran as fast as they could, and that without disrespecting the social security distances even in this situation,” continues the singer. “We are all professionals. We are there with all of our hearts. The fact that it sounds a little live makes this show so charming.”

Finally, Maite Kelly thanks the whole team. “We are a family that sticks together out of love for this wonderful task of bringing some color to people’s lives.” Then she turns to the moderator: “Kiwi, it doesn’t matter when or where: I’ll be there, on time. Or even sooner next time!”

By the way, the “TV Garden” will continue to exist five times this year. The last edition of the ZDF fair will be held on October 4. So Andrea Kiewel says goodbye to winter break.
