Lower Saxony: Court granted ban on fireworks on New Year’s Eve – News Inland

[ad_1]

Lower Saxony wanted to be absolutely safe and had completely banned fireworks on New Year’s Eve. That does not work, the Higher Administrative Court (OVG) of Lüneburg has failed and has returned to collect the Corona regulation.

Reason: The ban on fireworks is not an objectively necessary infection protection measure that can be enacted on the basis of the Infection Protection Act.

Sparklers, peas, and tabletop fireworks “have no potential to cause infection-relevant gatherings in large numbers of people,” and they do not have the potential to cause numerous wound treatments in hospitals.

So in Lower Saxony you can shoot again!

With its decision, the Lüneburg court confirmed a man from a Lower Saxony community that he had appealed against the ban on fireworks with a request for legal review.

Fireworks by professional organizers are still banned in Lower Saxony.

But shopping is not possible in Lower Saxony either!

At the same time, the Federal Council, at the request of the Federal Government, decided to change the Explosives Ordinance: according to it, firecrackers and rockets cannot be sold throughout the country before New Year’s Eve this year.
