KFC Uerdingen will probably immediately notify Kevin Großkreutz: world champion out of work?

Kevin Großkreutz is no longer a KFC Uerdingen player. At least that is what various media report. The 2014 world champion would have reached the next low point in his career.

Third division club KFC Uerdingen has parted ways with Kevin Großkreutz. “Rheinische Post” and “Bild” report that in unison. The “Bild” claims to know that Krefeld’s team fired the 2014 world champion without warning. The former Dortmund service provider’s contract runs until the summer of 2021.

Both “Rheinische Post” and “Bild” report that Großkreutz and KFC Uerdingen have been in a legal dispute for months. Consequently, the former national player should not have received his full salary for months. Uerdingen, in turn, alleges that Großkreutz did not agree to waive a salary as a result of the Corona crisis, which is why the termination of the employment relationship was received.

Since Großkreutz and KFC Uerdingen were unable to reach an agreement before October 1, the court’s deadline, the defensive off-roader is now considered to be unemployed and without a club. Neither KFC Uerdingen nor Großkreutz have commented on the reports so far.
